Well,to be honest with you, being prejudiced about something is a big personal character trace. So, while I was browsing at the local Benefit Cosmetics beauty counter, I stumbled upon "High Brow" brow lifting I was 99.9% sure that this product was something that I didn't need to add to my beauty regime. I am a big brows fan and I am always itching to try new products so there I was trying "High Brow" to see what it really did; I sampled it on my hand, blended and was impressed of the warm pink, illuminating hue it gave. I also applied it under my brow, following my arch and I loved the instant brow lift, which made me look like I had a good night's sleep. So with this brow lifting pencil in hand, you can accentuate your arched brows and freshen up your look. But let me share this little trick, "High Brow" can be used not only for your brows! I was curious enough to try this pencil as a regular highlighter and it delivers an amazing illuminating result on the cupid's bow, the apples and it can even pass for a concealer if you put a little quantity and blend it really well. I am so enamoured with "High Brow" that even when I don't apply full make-up and fill in my brows, I put on "High Brow" and I am ready to go!

Review: Benefit Cosmetics "High Brow"
Thursday, June 26, 2014
There have been many times when I have stumbled upon things or people who at first glance didn't seem to measure up to something important or valuable for me. Take Batman for example; the first time we met, I was sure that he was no worthy enemy for me and my father but the more we faced of him, the more powerful and smart he got. First impressions can totally fool you so an open mind could save you from trouble.
So, who's ready to drop thinking on first impressions?

Sampling Monday: The results are in, Part 2!
Tuesday, June 3, 2014
It's time to round up the samples and spill the deets on how good or bad they were! Processing data and evaluating how something delivers results are skills that I have developed as a sidekick to the world's greatest detective, Batman, and they are not only applicable to fighting crime but also to reviewing beauty products!
So, shall we move on to the "Sampling Monday" regime?
Benefit Cosmetics "The Porefessional" : Having a little problem with my pores, I expected this product to minimize how big my pores look. Unfortunately that wasn't the case for me; after application, my pores looked the same as before but my skin felt smoother. If you don't have a big pores problem, this might work for you.
Laura Mercier "Eyedration Moisture Eye Crème" : This eye cream was as good as it promised! Super moisturising, it spoiled my under eye area with vitamin E and C and it really brighten my dark circles. My eyes look refreshed and I am more than happy to say that it the result lasted longer than expected. If you don't have a dark circles problem, you may skip the concealer with this!
P.S. Which was your favourite sample out of the three? Was there something you also tried?

Review: Benefit Cosmetics "Fakeup"
Saturday, April 12, 2014
There is something unique about staying up late. You can go out with friends, drink cocktails and talk about how your colleagues are bothering you everyday at work or you can stay in with your husband and son in front of the fireplace while Alfred serves you the most delicious pastrami sandwich you have ever had; then again, you might be spending the night in the Batmobile chasing Joker's goons and trying to put an end to his latest scheme. But frankly, no matter how you spend your nights there is a common pattern waiting for you in the morning when you wake up. Dark circles are looking at your reflection reminding you of the great/hard time you had last night and you are left with your best friend aka the concealer to save the day.
But are you happy with your concealer?Personally, I had a hard time with concealers in the past. Maybe because I overdo it with the whole superhero routine, my dark circles are big and most concealers kind of cover them up but the area under my eyes gets dry. So now I had a mission to look for a concealer that would both hide my dark circles and moisturize so it could last longer and not stray away. I did a bit of research in the endless aisles of the beauty stores of Gotham and the task wasn't easy until I saw the potential of Benefit Cosmetics's "Fakeup" to be a daring sidekick to my beauty endeavors."Fakeup",contains Vitamin E and apple seed extract and aims to hide dark circles, diffuse fine line, hydrate the under eye area and promises to deliver an ultra-natural look. So, did it work?I was quite hesitant about this concealer application at first, because it looks like a lipstick but with a twist. Its core is filled with the color that covers your dark circles and its outer part is a transparent hydrating substance to give you what you asked for! And boy, it did what it said! The girl at Benefit's beauty counter applied the "01 Light" shade, blended it with her ring finger and I was taken at how good my dark circles were gone. Also, the formula was so light that I felt like I didn't wear any concealer at all! There is a new superhero in town girls and this one fights the hardest of crimes: dark circles!"Fakeup" and its cute packaging. Is it lipstick? Is it concealer? You are now leaving GothamBenefit's "Fakeup" is not your usual concealer but if you are looking for something both concealing and hydrating, you could consider this as your next purchase! It hides, it moisturizes, it lasts! And here it is the superconcealer's punchline, haha. The only negative comment I have to make is about the shades being limited but I hope they will come up with shades to compliment every skin tone soon.P.S. So, which concealer are you gals using? Or do you need a concealer or not? Have you tried "Fakeup"? I am waiting for your comments and also your suggestions about the reviews! Do you want swatches. demoes, or something else?
